We are here for you.

When the tornado struck Kinburn and Dunrobin and the second flood in 3 years struck our Ottawa river neighbours in and around Constance Bay, West Carleton Disaster Relief was there.

The volunteers of West Carleton Disaster Relief (WCDR) focus on disaster response in West Carleton, providing assistance to affected neighbours in times of crisis through volunteer management and effective coordination of local recovery efforts. With a core of dedicated volunteers, WCDR brings

the power of a strong network of multi-skilled community volunteers with extensive local knowledge disaster response experience to the preparation for, response to, and recovery from, all manner of disasters.

By aiding victims of disasters and fostering greater resilience in our community with emergency preparedness activities, WCDR continues to demonstrate its commitment to making a positive difference during difficult times.

West Carleton Disaster Relief  ( WCDR ) is pleased to announce we were awarded a Community Resiliency Grant for $ 29,800 by the Ontario Trillium Foundation, a program of the Government of Ontario in June 2023. The grant was used to develop a Community Emergency Management Plan and to acquire Volunteer Management software and computer tools.
