Heather Lucente

Heather has been involved in responding to disasters in West Carleton from the first days of high water in the 2017 Ottawa River floods and was a leading community volunteer during the flood response and recovery efforts in both the 2017 and 2019 floods.

Heather assisted in early days of West Carleton Disaster Relief; building the WCDR website, launching and managing our social media sites (starting with Constance Bay WC Flood 2017 and then West Carleton Disaster Relief on Facebook) and coordinated the first of WCDR readiness programs. She is looking forward to helping residents improve their disaster readiness and to continuing WCDR community predaradness planning.

Heather lives in Constance Bay with her husband Walt and two boys, Wally and Levon. As with many residents in West Carleton, the Lucente family has an extensive history of volunteering in Constance Bay. Whether it is organizing music events or running Bay Days family events, sandbagging or helping feed volunteers, running pumps or cleaning up after the tornado, fundraising or working with Wally’s hockey team to win the Good Deeds Cup grand prize of $100,000 for tornado relief; if there is volunteering to do Walt and the boys have always stepped up.
